The Lego bricks that we all know and love are generally put to very good use by some very gifted builders. A lot of have recreated iconic artwork, others have formulated miniature variants of recognized cities and some have actually made a living recreating famous photo album covers with Lego. But which of these creations are the most effective designs thus far? To help decide, we have looked back a few of our treasured Lego models to date.
A fan favourite for that very valid reason, 10305 Voltron successfully were able to recreate one of the famous displays from a classic motion picture with approximately 600 pieces. The fact that the five smaller physical lions were able to seamlessly morph into the larger complete was an extraordinary feat and a testament to the Lego designers’ skill.
Previously a set in the Ideas series (LEGO’s platform for creating and proposing fresh sets) before becoming a Maker Expert style, 10217 Raiders of the Lost Ark has become a must-have for any Indianapolis Jones admirer. Not only does it recreate the enduring Ark scene in great aspect but it also features a number of well-recognised minifigures.
Pixar has manufactured some great movies over the years and WALL-E is certainly among them. This set, which is one of the more recent in the Profano Ideas brand, does a fantastic More Info job of re-creating the character’s proportions and likeness when still making usage of innovative building techniques. Furthermore, it can be spun just like a traditional globe for the purpose of added fun.
